Val, a founding member of the West Coast-based Any Old Time stringband and long-time teacher at the Old Town School of Folk Music, and Emily teach traditional American and early country harmony styles and repertoire at workshops around the US and abroad.

When she isn't teaching, Emily tours with the Brooklyn-based Sweetback Sisters and Northern Harmony. Both Val and Emily are leaders of the touring singing camp Village Harmony.
